Priest Changes (7/7/11)

Postby TundraForce » Thu Jul 07, 2011 7:08 pm

Hello everyone!

I don't know where to post about the class changes that are happening NOW so I will post them here in the overall class changes forum because changes aren't happening to Priests alone. I will be posting what has changed since 7:00pm EST. Updating is sure to follow if anything changes after this is posted.

From what I checked, only the pre-50 spells were changed.
Holy Seal: Went from 20 second cooldown to 5 second cooldown. It is target cast. It heals party members within 3 tiles of the chosen target (target cast).
Might of the Gods: Went from 5 STR buff to 50 STR buff. It is no longer target cast, it is now instant cast and applies to all party members within 1 tile (adjacent tiles) of the caster. 50 second cooldown, lasts for 20 seconds.
Heart of the Gods: Went from 5 STA buff to 150 HP tick. It is still target cast. 40 second cooldown, lasts for 18 seconds.
Speed of the Gods: Remains 5% Haste but lasts longer. It is still target cast. 1 minute 20 second cooldown, lasts 50 seconds.
Healing Power: (Don't know old stats) Now 250 HP and 50 MP tick. It is no longer target cast, it is now instant cast and applies to all party members within 2 tiles of the caster. 1 minute cooldown, lasts for 17 seconds.
Mind of the Gods: Went from 5 INT buff to 5% SD buff. It is no longer target cast, it is now instant cast and applies to all party members within 2 tiles of the caster. 1 minute 20 second cooldown, lasts for 40 seconds.
Trust of the Gods: Went from 2 STR/STA/INT buff to 10 DEX buff. It is no longer target cast, it is now instant cast and applies to all party members within 1 tile (adjacent tiles) of the caster. 1 minute cooldown, lasts for 30 seconds.
Greater Trust of the Gods: Went from 3 STR/STA/INT buff to 25 DEX buff. It is still target cast. The buff applies to any character within 2 tiles of the chosen target.

Yay.Those have been needing to be revamped for a while. Sounds good to me.
Mildly offensive quasi-threat that displays my superiority.

I stand by what I said before, range could be reworked on those spells as well. Other than that the non target group spells are awesome.

I agree that if the range was increased to 2 or even 3 (that might be pushing it) would be more favorable. I tried using Might of Gods today and it took too much effort to try and get directly beside the Knave to cast the spell and he wound up running away from me most of the time anyway. I like the effects though.

I agree with sensui.

This game is a very fast paced game. Having to group everyone up to buff does not make buffs more challenging; it makes them annoying.
Humanity ceases to advance when it's weakest members are protected.
